Presentation and instances of the MSHE C. N. Ledoux
The Maison des sciences de l'homme et de l'environnement (MSHE) Claude Nicolas Ledoux is a support and research unit (UAR3124) under the supervision of the CNRS and the University Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it is hosted by the University of Franche-Comté. Since January 1st 2012. It is also a research federation (FED 4209), recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. It brings together the laboratories in Franche-Comté of the field of the human and social sciences (SHS) or comprising a SHS team in their centre.
The MSHE is part of the National Network of the Maisons des sciences de l’homme (RnMSH) and set up with the Maison des sciences de l’homme (MSH) of Dijon a Federation of the MSH of Bourgogne and Franche-Comté, to concretize the old collaborations developed between the two institutions.
The MSHE is present on the boards of four out of five UFC collegiums (SNET, SSS, SJEG and SHH) and in those of five thematic poles of the ComUE UBFC (DGEP, LLC and SHS in a primary capacity and SCS and SV2TEA in a secondary capacity).
The MSHE Ledoux is also part of the TRANSBIO Graduate School, set up within the framework of the ComUE UBFC; this is an MSc-PhD integrated curriculum to promote the transition towards the sustainable use of resources and for the protection of biodiversity.

Since January 2023, the director of the MSHE Ledoux is Boris Vannière. The Deputy Director is Vincent Bourdeau.

Missions and services of the MSHE Ledoux
The MSHE works to develop and valorize research in humanities and social sciences. She offers research support services (administrative and technological platforms) and specific scientific programming.
To promote interdisciplinarity with specific scientific programming
The MSHE promotes the interdisciplinarity in especifically through specific scientific programming, structured in five research poles.

Each pole of research accommodates actions carried out by researchers from the federated laboratories. Around a hundred local researchers are mobilized and a total of more than 200 researchers from French and foreign laboratories are involved in its research activities.
The MSHE accommodates doctoral and post-doctoral students involved in its research activities. It also receives researchers or professors invited for periods ranging from a month to a year, within the framework of research collaborations with researchers involved in its actions.

The composition of the Steering Committee is as follows:

- the head of the UAR's technological platform.
The Steering Committee meets on the proposal of the director of the UAR or of the majority of the members of the committee, as necessary. It may include qualified persons in an advisory capacity. It decides on the general organisation and functioning of the PSU and decides on any modification of the statutes of the MSHE, of the perimeter of the partner laboratories, of the management of the UAR.
